Temporary QHSE Lead – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

This temporary 3‑6 month position is for a QHSE Lead who will coordinate quality, health, safety and environmental activities across an international engineering consultancy. Reporting to the Group QHSE Manager, you will work with teams in the UK, France, Belgium and Italy to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the Integrated Management System across the Group.
• Lead internal audit programmes and support external certification audits.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Provide day‑to‑day health and safety support for office, hybrid and remote work environments.
• Organise risk assessments, DSE assessments and office inspections.
• Oversee mandatory training compliance across all entities.
• Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective‑action management.
• Monitor QHSE performance, prepare KPI reports and management dashboards.
• Maintain QHSE policies, procedures and guidance documentation.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and business continuity activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading QHSE functions in an international setting.
• Strong ability to influence behaviours and build relationships at all levels.
• Pragmatic approach to health, safety and compliance.
• Comfortable working across multiple cultures and jurisdictions.
