Temporary School Finance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Temporary School Finance Officer to join a primary school in Ealing. This full‑time, office‑based position runs from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (with the option to finish at 2:00 pm for shorter hours). You will provide essential administrative and financial support, ensuring accurate processing of income, invoices, purchase orders, and payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments using the Financial Management System (FMS).
• Record and reconcile income and expenditure.
• Assist with budget monitoring and financial reporting.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve account queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Support month‑end and year‑end finance processes.
• Respond to finance‑related enquiries from staff, parents, and suppliers.

Required profile

• Previous experience in finance or accounts administration.
• Experience using a Financial Management System (FMS) is essential.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
