Territory Sales Manager

About the role

Breedon Group plc, a leading construction materials provider in the UK, Ireland and the USA, is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive growth on the West Coast of Scotland. The role is field‑based, requiring regular travel to existing and prospective customers to build relationships and expand market share.

Key responsibilities

• Use market insight tools such as Barbour ABI to monitor industry trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Develop and execute campaigns to acquire new accounts, revive dormant accounts and grow the sales and EBIT of the territory.
• Create and maintain customer account plans that maximise profitability and efficient use of time.
• Onboard new customers and coordinate the hand‑over of enquiries to internal sales representatives.
• Lead regular account reviews, gather NPS feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Distribution and Transport teams to resolve issues and meet customer expectations.
• Communicate price changes, forecast performance and track progress against targets, providing quarterly updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales within the construction or building‑materials sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the West Coast of Scotland.
