Test Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Semiconductor Test Development Engineer to join our rapidly expanding fabless ASIC company. The role is based in our Milton Park office near Abingdon, with a hybrid schedule of three days on‑site each week. You will report to the Director of Test Engineering and work on custom ASIC products for wireless, automotive, medical and industrial markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop test solutions (programs, load‑board schematics, sockets and hardware) on Advantest v93k, Teradyne ETS and Ultraflex platforms.
• Define tasks, timelines and documentation such as test FMEA, test plans and specifications.
• Install and qualify test solutions in OSAT facilities.
• Manage external partners for outsourced test development projects and make milestone decisions.
• Support product engineering with yield issues related to production testing and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in semiconductor test development.
• Degree in electronics engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of analogue and digital test methodology; strong digital/analogue circuit design knowledge.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Python or Java.
• Willingness to learn from senior engineers and work in an international, cross‑functional environment.
