Test Technician – Entry Level

About the role

The Test Technician will join the Swindon site to support both operational and engineering activities. This entry‑level position offers a blend of hands‑on electronics testing, laboratory support, and customer‑site logistics, providing a solid foundation for a career in technical engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Handle stock and ensure traceability of electronic products.
• Deliver electronic products to customer sites using a company or rental van.
• Perform functional and performance testing of electronic and power‑supply items.
• Assist engineering teams with product verification, validation, and end‑of‑line testing.
• Investigate basic faults in products and test setups.
• Maintain and organise the electronics test laboratory and its equipment.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Basic understanding of electronics or electrical engineering, either through education or practical experience.
• Hands‑on practical skills such as testing, wiring, and basic assembly.
• Willingness to learn, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Ability to meet BPSS requirements (right to work in the UK, identity proof, five‑year activity history).

Required skills

• Use of digital multimeters.
• Use of oscilloscopes.
