About the role
We are looking for a motivated TIG welder to join our client’s manufacturing team in Burnham-on-Crouch. The role involves producing high‑quality components for medical equipment, working with thin sheet metal and precise jig setups.
Key responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on medical equipment components, handling 1‑3 mm sheet metal.
- Adjust sheet parts to fit weld jigs accurately.
- Use measuring equipment to verify that components meet drawing specifications.
- Strictly follow health, safety and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet production deadlines.
Required profile
- Previous welding experience in kitchen manufacturers, cabinets, hospital equipment, trolleys or furniture.
- Neat, tidy work habits with strong practical skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work within lean manufacturing environments.
Required skills
- TIG welding
- Sheet‑metal fabrication (1‑3 mm thickness)
- Use of precision measuring tools
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques
