Title Lawyer / Conveyancer – Technical Property Law Role

About the role

A well‑established property law practice in Woking is seeking an experienced Title Lawyer / Conveyancer to join the firm on an in‑house basis. This role is focused solely on technical title work and provides specialist support to the wider conveyancing team. It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced or semi‑retired conveyancer who enjoys technical problem‑solving and detail‑driven work without the pressures of fee‑earning.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse residential property titles, including registered and unregistered land.
• Identify and resolve complex title issues, defects, and anomalies.
• Provide clear technical advice and guidance to fee earners and partners.
• Support transactions by advising on easements, covenants, rights of way, restrictions, and leasehold matters.
• Ensure title work complies with current property law, Land Registry requirements, and best practice.
• Assist with high‑risk or complex files as required.
• Work collaboratively with the conveyancing team while maintaining a largely autonomous workload.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Conveyancer, Title Lawyer, or Property Solicitor.
• Strong technical expertise in residential conveyancing and title matters.
• Confidence working independently and making sound technical decisions.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
