Town Planner – Hybrid, Oxfordshire

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Town Planner to join a well‑established planning consultancy in Oxfordshire. You will work within a supportive, close‑knit team, taking responsibility for planning applications, appeals and site appraisals from day one while receiving mentorship from senior planners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
• Conduct site visits and deliver detailed planning appraisals.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and external consultants.
• Support senior team members on complex projects.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in planning legislation and policy.

Required profile

• RTPI‑accredited degree and full or working towards MRTPI status.
• 2+ years’ experience in a planning consultancy or local authority.
• Strong report‑writing and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Team player with a proactive attitude and commercial awareness.
