Town Planner (Remote) – Full‑Time or Part‑Time

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established UK planning consultancy to recruit a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner. The position is fully remote and offers flexibility for both full‑time and part‑time arrangements, allowing you to work from anywhere while supporting a diverse portfolio of planning projects across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal portfolio of planning applications, appeals and development strategies.
• Provide commercially‑focused planning advice to a broad client base.
• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals to local authorities.
• Collaborate with senior team members on complex schemes and major development proposals.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and planning authorities.

Required profile

• MRTPI‑qualified or working towards chartership.
• Experience in preparing and managing planning applications and appeals.
• Good understanding of the UK planning system and policy.
• Excellent report writing and communication abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of planning legislation and policy frameworks.
• Proficiency in preparing planning documentation and reports.
