Trainee Accountant

About the role

This graduate‑level position is designed for an ambitious individual early in their finance career who wants to develop a long‑term path in accounting. You will join a high‑performing finance team, initially focusing on accounts payable and transactional finance, with clear progression into broader accounting responsibilities while receiving full study support.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding.
• Manage supplier queries and maintain strong relationships.
• Support payment runs.
• Assist with reconciliation work.
• Maintain accurate financial records and finance documentation.
• Provide administrative and ad‑hoc support to the wider finance team.
• Contribute to improving finance processes and controls over time.

Required profile

• Strong academic background, ideally a Russell Group university graduate with excellent A‑Level results.
• 12‑18 months of accounting or finance experience.
• Motivated to study towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualifications.
• Energetic, confident and personable with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable building relationships across all organisational levels.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
