Trainee Buyer – Menswear

About the role

As a Trainee Buyer you will support the Buying team in developing and delivering commercially successful menswear collections for Reiss, gaining hands‑on experience across product development, supplier management and in‑season trading.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sample processes, coordinate requests and organise showrooms for buy and trade meetings.
• Work with the studio to ensure all product is photographed on time for partners and online channels.
• Produce reports such as best‑seller and trade analysis to support weekly meetings and ad‑hoc requests.
• Oversee the critical path, ensuring key milestones are met and coordinate colour and trim approvals.
• Support the Buyer in collection development through market analysis, pricing and trend identification.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.
• Contribute to sales and marketing activities, including trend packs, partner presentations and campaign product selection.
• Monitor the website to ensure product presentation aligns with buying intent.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Merchandising, Marketing, Design and Ecommerce.

Required profile

• Strong interest in buying and product, with some retail or head‑office experience.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive self‑starter willing to learn and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong communication skills, confident working with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Commercially aware with an interest in trends, product and the premium fashion market.
• Team player who builds strong relationships across functions.
