Trainee Site Manager

About the role

Bloor Homes is looking for motivated individuals to join its comprehensive training programme as a Trainee Site Manager on the Woolcroft Rise Development in Shepshed, Leicestershire. You will work on‑site, shadowing experienced managers and gaining a full understanding of the housebuilding process from start to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow site workers and other departments (commercial, design, technical, sales) to learn all aspects of site operations.
• Assist with quality control, health and safety compliance, and resource coordination.
• Support recruitment of operatives and subcontractors and help manage their performance.
• Investigate and resolve customer enquiries and complaints during construction.
• Check that setting‑out and levels match approved drawings and record any variations.

Required profile

• Interest or experience in the construction industry, either as a tradesperson or project‑related role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Desire to develop a career in site management within a people‑focused business.

Required skills

• Understanding of health and safety standards in construction.
• Basic knowledge of quality control processes.
