Trainee Software Developer – Entry Level Placement

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a structured pathway into software development for candidates with little or no coding experience. Over a series of online modules you will acquire front‑end and back‑end skills, earn industry‑recognised certifications and, upon successful completion, be placed in a full‑time entry‑level development role.

Key responsibilities

• Complete 12 weeks of HTML & CSS training (6 weeks each) via video tutorials and quizzes.
• Progress through advanced modules covering the command line, Git & GitHub, JavaScript and Python (1.5 weeks each).
• Build a portfolio website project to showcase practical abilities.
• Earn AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate certifications.
• Collaborate with mentors and tutors throughout the programme.
• Secure a permanent software development placement with a starting salary between £25k‑£40k.

Required profile

• Motivated to start a career in software development.
• No prior programming experience required.
• Ability to work independently and follow an online learning schedule.
• Looking for a full‑time, entry‑level position after training.
