Trainer Assessor Residential Childcare – East Midlands (22.5 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a Trainer Assessor to deliver high‑quality teaching, coaching and assessment for Level 4 and Level 5 Residential Childcare apprenticeships. Working hybrid, you will support learners to complete their qualifications while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and our organisational values.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices and employer‑based learners, providing training, coaching, mentoring and assessment.
• Use initial assessments to plan and sequence learning, covering knowledge, skills, behaviours, English and maths development.
• Develop individual training plans in collaboration with employers and ensure comprehensive induction for learners and employers.
• Design and deliver training resources, monitor off‑the‑job training, and track progress against targets.
• Maintain quality assurance standards set by Acorn Training and Awarding Organisations.
• Provide pastoral support, safeguarding, Prevent, radicalisation, equality, diversity and fundamental British values guidance.
• Organise assessment opportunities, review meetings and constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience delivering training and assessment for residential childcare apprenticeships.
• Ability to plan, sequence and monitor learner progress, including English, maths and digital skills development.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Prevent, radicalisation, equality, diversity and fundamental British values.
• Capability to work collaboratively with employers and provide clear induction and support.
