About the role

As a Transfer Station Operative at Smugglers Way, you will help keep one of London’s key waste facilities running safely, efficiently and smoothly. You will work alongside experienced operatives processing household and commercial waste while supporting the communities and businesses served across the capital.

Key responsibilities

• Process household and commercial waste and ensure the site operates to the highest standards.
• Follow site procedures, contractual requirements and safe systems of work to maintain a safe environment for colleagues, contractors and visitors.
• Keep the transfer station clean, organised and tidy.
• Work shifts, including alternate weekends, to provide consistent service.
• Communicate effectively with team members to prevent complaints and maintain high site standards.
