About the role
The Transport Department of NHS Grampian is seeking a reliable driver to handle the daily delivery and collection of stores, laundry, and clinical waste across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up stores and laundry from various locations.
- Collect clinical waste from designated collection points each day.
- Load, unload and manually handle cages, waste bags and containers.
- Transport loads to appropriate drop‑off or pick‑up points and ensure the vehicle is stocked for daily runs.
- Perform daily vehicle checks, clean and maintain the vehicle, and complete required paperwork.
Required profile
- Full driving licence for Category C1 (Category C desirable); no DR10.
- Driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work unsupervised to high standards.
- Punctual, reliable, well‑presented with good face‑to‑face communication.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks.
Required skills
- Category C1 driving licence.
- Manual handling of loads.
