Travel Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Travel Specialist to join a well‑established tour operator. In this full‑time position you will create tailor‑made holiday itineraries, manage bookings and deliver a seamless experience from the first enquiry through to post‑travel support.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers and travel agents to design bespoke and package holidays.
• Handle inbound calls and emails, follow up on warm leads and achieve sales targets.
• Gather detailed customer requirements and use booking systems to secure all elements of the trip.
• Identify new sales opportunities and nurture repeat business.
• Provide outstanding service throughout the booking process and after travel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in travel sales, tour operations or retail travel with a target‑driven approach.
• Strong knowledge of European destinations and a genuine passion for travel.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport via phone and email.
• Highly organised, able to prioritise workload and adapt to a flexible schedule.
• Motivated, results‑oriented mindset with a “can‑do” attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with a Global Distribution System such as Amadeus (beneficial but not essential).

What we offer

• Basic salary £25,200‑£28,000 plus tiered monthly commission and uncapped OTE.
