Travel Tour Operator (Scotland)

About the role

A well-established tour operator specialising in tailor-made tours in Great Britain and Ireland is looking for a Travel Tour Operator based in Edinburgh. The role covers managing group travel programmes to Scotland from confirmation through to completion, with hybrid work after probation and a salary of between £28,000 and £35,000 per year depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Create and prepare itineraries, quotations and costings for group tours
• Manage group bookings from confirmation through to completion
• Handle group booking administration, including amendments, cancellations, rooming lists and travel documentation
• Coordinate with clients and process requests accurately and on time so tours run smoothly
• Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers while maintaining quality and budget
• Process invoices and support payment administration
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers

Required profile

• Previous experience in tour operations or a DMC is essential
• Good knowledge of Scotland and the UK as a travel destination
• Fluency in Italian, German, French or Spanish is a real bonus
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Proactive, dynamic and able to multi-task, working as part of a team and taking initiative
