Travel & Tourism Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Travel & Tourism Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching for a range of Further Education providers. This role offers the chance to influence learners aspiring to careers in travel, tourism, hospitality and aviation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Travel & Tourism lessons across multiple levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learner needs.
• Support learners in developing knowledge of global tourism, destination management, customer service and industry operations.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Aviation, Events Management or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning environments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Subject‑matter expertise in travel, tourism, hospitality or related sectors.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
