Triage Clinician – Part‑time Fixed‑term (12 months)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Bracknell Urgent Care Centre as a Triage Clinician on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves assessing adult and paediatric patients, providing advice, sign‑posting and safe repatriation, and determining the need for immediate medical attention.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial clinical assessments, record vital signs and prioritise patients using the Australasian Triage Score.
• Advise, sign‑post and, where appropriate, repatriate patients safely.
• Work collaboratively with the MDT, ensuring clear communication and safe patient management throughout each shift.
• Participate in in‑house training, mandatory courses and audits.
• Escalate clinical issues to the person in charge and support the Clinical Strategy for OneMedicare.

Required profile

• Current registration with the NMC or HCP.
• Post‑registration face‑to‑face triage experience.
• Completed triage training and recent CPD evidence.
• Ability to work shifts on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (8 am‑8:30 pm).
• Strong time‑management and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NEWS2 and PEWS scoring systems.
• Experience using SystemOne clinical software.
• Knowledge of the Australasian Triage Score.
