Trust and Tax Manager – Private Client Team

About the role

Join a leading private client team delivering specialist trust and tax services to high‑net‑worth individuals, families and charities. You will manage a portfolio of complex trust accounts and tax matters, working collaboratively without line‑management duties.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare self‑assessment income tax returns and capital gains tax returns for trusts, estates and individuals.
• Compile annual trust accounts and oversee compliance obligations.
• Handle inheritance tax returns, including 10‑year and exit charges.
• Liaise with HMRC, arrange tax payments and manage FATCA and CRS reporting.
• Register and maintain trusts on HMRC’s trust register.
• Engage with trustees, beneficiaries and professional advisers, attending trustee meetings as required.
• Monitor key deadlines and support overall private client service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in trust accounting and tax compliance.
• Strong analytical ability and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and meet strict deadlines.

• CCH tax and accounting systems (desirable)
