Trusts & Estates Tax Manager – Manchester

About the role

Join a highly regarded independent accountancy firm in Manchester as a Trusts & Estates Tax Manager. You will act as a trusted adviser to high‑net‑worth individuals, families and trustees while leading a varied portfolio of UK trusts and estates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of trusts, estates and high‑net‑worth clients, ensuring timely compliance and high‑quality advisory work.
• Oversee preparation and review of trust and estate tax returns.
• Provide technical advice on inheritance tax (IHT), capital gains tax (CGT) and income tax matters.
• Support clients with trust structuring, succession planning and estate administration.
• Develop junior staff through coaching and mentorship.
• Identify and pursue business‑development opportunities to grow the private‑client offering.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in trusts and estates tax within a practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK trust and personal taxation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver advisory projects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
