UAS Remote Pilot

About the role

Tekever Defence in the UK is recruiting a UAS Remote Pilot in Bristol. The pilot plays a key role in delivering missions by monitoring flight operations, mitigating hazards, performing real-time interventions and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. The role involves frequent travel to customer locations in the UK, Portugal, the US and Europe, with at least 3 days per week based in South West England when not on active deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the RPIC in delivering UAS operations safely and in compliance
• Ensure operations comply with regulations and keep detailed records of flights, incidents and safety assessments
• Enforce company safety protocols and best practice
• Help UAS operators with flight planning, pre-flight inspections and post-flight debriefings
• Give emergency response guidance for system failures or unexpected hazards
• Train and mentor UAS operators on best practice and risk mitigation
• Maintain personal currency and competency on specified TEKEVER platforms

Required profile

• Aviation knowledge including ground school and live flying on any type of aircraft
• Understanding of MET and airspace
• Pilot license (LAPL/PPL/HPL or similar)
• A1 and A3 certificates (CAA/EASA)
• Eligibility for SC clearance and willingness to undergo vetting
• Work authorisation in the UK
• Advanced English, proven at C2 level
• Experience in military flying, instruction or overseas operations

Required skills

• Good level of maths and physics
• MALE/HALE UAS platforms certified (H900/H450/WK/MQ)
• MUAS certified (Puma/DH3/Raven/Stalker)
• Flight radiotelephony operating license
