Vehicle Technician – BMW & MINI

About the role

Join Hedin Automotive’s workshop team as a Vehicle Technician, working on the full range of BMW and MINI vehicles. You will use advanced diagnostic equipment and receive specialised training at the BMW UK Training Academy to keep your technical knowledge up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles to BMW/MINI UK standards.
• Carry out high‑quality maintenance and repairs following manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect components for wear, damage or required replacement.
• Meet productivity and quality targets set by the workshop.
• Advise customers on additional repair needs and provide technical guidance.
• Communicate with customers via video health checks and CitNows.
• Stay current on technical information and BMW/MINI innovations.
• Road‑test vehicles when required.

Required profile

• IMI Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in a main dealer or reputable service/repair environment, preferably BMW/MINI.
• Strong background in complex repairs and maintenance.
• Eligible to work in the UK with a clean UK driving licence (minimum 1 year).

Required skills

• Use of diagnostic tools and manufacturer‑approved technology.
• Vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
• Road testing of repaired vehicles.
