Vehicle Technician – LCV & Motorhome Specialist

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a leading dealership group in Plymouth. The role is based in a dedicated Van Centre, servicing a range of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and motorhomes.
Key responsibilities
- Perform repair and routine servicing on LCVs and motorhomes.
- Carry out Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) and preparation work as required.
- Conduct diagnostic testing and resolve complex faults.
- Carry out MOT testing in accordance with UK regulations.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a vehicle technician, preferably at Diagnostic or Master Technician level.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Level 3 automotive qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience in a franchise or independent workshop is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Required skills
- Vehicle repair and servicing.
- Diagnostic testing of automotive systems.
- MOT testing procedures.
- Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) and preparation work.
What we offer
- Basic salary up to £42,000, dependent on experience.
- Uncapped productivity bonus (e.g., 70% productivity = £400/month).
- Monday‑Friday schedule, 8:00‑17:00 with a one‑hour lunch break.
- No weekend work.
