Vehicle Technician – Light Commercial & MOT Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician with an MOT licence to join a growing fleet services provider in Preston. You will work in a modern workshop, servicing and maintaining light commercial vehicles while delivering MOT tests to DVSA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair vans and other light commercial vehicles.
• Carry out MOT tests (Class 4 & 7 preferred) in line with DVSA regulations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete comprehensive vehicle health checks and identify further work.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Valid MOT Tester licence.
• Proven experience working on vans or light commercial vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
