Vehicle Technician – Main Dealer Workshop

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable main dealer in Basingstoke to join their busy workshop as a Vehicle Technician. You will deliver high‑standards of vehicle servicing and repair within a prestigious brand environment, supporting the team’s efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle service checks, repairs and routine maintenance.
• Perform Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new vehicles.
• Maintain workshop professionalism and high‑quality service standards.
• Follow company procedures, health and safety protocols.
• Contribute to overall workshop efficiency.
• Undertake additional ad‑hoc duties as directed by workshop management.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Service and Repair or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT Tester Licence (preferred).
• Post‑qualification experience within a main dealer environment.
• Knowledge of EV/Hybrid systems (desirable).
• Positive, can‑do attitude with strong work ethic.
• Ability to maintain high standards of workshop presentation and safety.
• Good communication skills and a team‑player mentality.

• Vehicle diagnostics and maintenance.
• Pre‑Delivery Inspection procedures.
• EV/Hybrid system knowledge (desirable).
• MOT testing competency.

What we offer

• Basic salary of £35,000 per annum with bonus potential up to £40,000.
• Monday‑Friday 8:00‑17:30 working hours, one Saturday shift (8:00‑13:00) transitioning to Mon‑Fri only from August 2026.
