About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join a family‑run workshop in Tyne & Wear. The role offers a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday schedule in a modern garage equipped with the latest diagnostic tools.

Key responsibilities

Carry out MOT testing in accordance with current regulations.
Perform routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.

Required profile

Qualified Vehicle Technician.
Valid MOT Tester licence (or willingness to obtain one).
Full UK driving licence.
Reliable, team‑focused and committed to high‑quality workmanship.

Required skills

Vehicle servicing and maintenance.
Mechanical repairs.
Use of diagnostic equipment.

What we offer

Competitive salary £32,000‑£40,000 per year, dependent on experience.
State‑of‑the‑art garage with air‑conditioning and heating.
Supportive, established workshop team.
Standard office hours 8:30 am‑5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday.
