Vice President – Export & Agency Finance, Sub‑Saharan Africa

About the role

Citi is seeking a Vice President to lead the growth of its Export & Agency Finance franchise across Sub‑Saharan Africa. Based in London, you will work on medium‑ and long‑term cross‑border structured financings backed by official agencies, development finance institutions and multilateral development banks.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, structure and execute agency‑supported financing transactions throughout Sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Develop and maintain relationships with sovereign, corporate and financial institution clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the strategic growth plan of the Export & Agency Finance platform.
• Collaborate with Banking, Corporate Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations and other product partners to deliver tailored client solutions.
• Prepare and present transaction proposals and client presentations to senior stakeholders.
• Assume responsibility for lending and portfolio risk management related to the franchise.

Required profile

• Vice President level with proven experience in structured and infrastructure finance.
• Demonstrated ability to originate and execute cross‑border financing transactions.
• Strong network and relationship‑building skills with sovereign and corporate clients in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Ability to work autonomously and partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
