Vice President, Internal Audit

About the role

Vocalink Limited, a Mastercard company, is seeking a Vice President of Internal Audit to lead its internal audit function. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will shape strategy, strengthen capabilities, and drive the evolution of audit processes for a critical national infrastructure organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a risk‑based audit plan aligned with strategic priorities.
• Engage senior stakeholders across the Executive Committee, Board, and regulatory bodies, including the Bank of England.
• Provide independent insight, constructive challenge, and trusted advice to senior management and governance forums.
• Champion a strong risk and control culture throughout the organisation.
• Identify emerging risks, control trends, and thematic observations to inform decision‑making.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit within the financial services or payments sector.
• Proven track record of senior stakeholder management and regulatory engagement.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and develop high‑performing teams.
• Deep understanding of governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
