Visuals Editor, Conde Nast Traveller

About the role

Conde Nast Traveller, part of the global media group Conde Nast, is looking for a Visuals Editor to join its creative team in London. The editor carries out extensive cross-platform visuals research and assists on global and local shoot productions when needed. The role reports to the UK-based Visuals Director and works closely with editorial teams in the UK, US and other markets. Candidates must meet tight deadlines, handle several projects at once and remain calm under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out extensive visuals research across all Conde Nast Traveller platforms
• Work with senior creative staff, editors and writers to understand visual and photo needs for assigned projects and prioritise them
• Assist with shoot productions for global and local commissioned shoots when required
• Manage assigned visual research projects from planning through to delivery
• Pay close attention to budgets
• Manage contracts and fees within Content Planner, in partnership with operations, legal and business affairs teams

Required profile

• Experience in photo/visual research and production or a related field, with knowledge of image libraries, stock agencies and photographers
• Demonstrated experience in travel and lifestyle photography and illustration; previous work on a travel or luxury title is ideal
• Established relationships with photographers and agencies
• Keen eye for photography and creative concepts, and ability to manage tight budgets and deadlines
• Calm, organised and professional under pressure

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to edit and adjust images for various digital platforms
• Animation skills are a plus
