Waiter/Waitress – Pump Room Restaurant (Bath)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Waiter or Waitress to join the team at the historic Pump Room Restaurant in Bath. You will work alongside floor managers to deliver first‑class service to guests, from afternoon tea to champagne.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to all guests throughout their visit.
• Take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure seamless delivery.
• Set up the restaurant and support events as required.
• Train and mentor new commis waiters.
• Follow company policies, health and safety standards, and service procedures.
• Liaise with kitchen and bar staff to maintain menu and service standards.
• Handle guest requests courteously and refer issues to the line manager when needed.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Hands‑on, proactive approach.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Passion for food and beverage service.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities.
