Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver (12‑hr Shifts)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join a well‑established logistics operation in Slough. The role involves safely operating forklift trucks and other mechanical handling equipment to support the efficient movement of goods across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks and MHE to load, unload and store goods.
• Support goods‑in and goods‑out processes, including accuracy and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for dispatch using warehouse systems.
• Carry out basic equipment inspections and ensure a safe, organised warehouse environment.
• Assist wider logistics operations as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Forklift Driver or similar role.
• Proven ability to operate forklift trucks safely.
• Willingness to work rotating 12‑hour shifts (days and nights).
• Awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Capability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Mechanical handling equipment (MHE) handling.
• Use of warehouse management systems.
