Warehouse Operative – Full‑time

About the role

We are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative for a well‑established, growing business in Bedford. The role is hands‑on and varied, supporting the smooth running of the warehouse, operating MHE and preparing customer orders.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders using handheld scanners.
• Operate warehouse trucks including PPT, Reach, Counterbalance and VNA.
• Move stock accurately throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with stock control and inventory movements.
• Work across different warehouse departments as required.
• Support colleagues to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Proven ability to operate MHE, especially PPT, Reach, Counterbalance and VNA trucks.
• Valid Reach Truck licence (essential).
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Positive, reliable attitude with strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
