Wastewater Service Engineer – Field Based

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Service Engineer to join a leading engineering company specialising in wastewater, sewage treatment and pumping solutions. The role is field‑based, covering domestic, commercial and industrial sites across Oxfordshire and the South West.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and wastewater systems.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits and respond to emergency breakdown call‑outs.
• Communicate progress to the scheduling team and customers, and produce accurate service reports via a mobile device.
• Recommend replacement parts, identify additional works and maintain vehicle stock of tools and parts.
• Provide professional customer service and support on‑the‑job training where required.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience servicing wastewater, sewage treatment or pumping systems, or a similar engineering environment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault‑finding abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Salary £35,000‑£40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
