About the role

We are seeking a Water Consultant to join a fast‑growing technology business that supports major UK water utilities. You will help design and deliver data‑driven solutions for infrastructure planning, optimisation and digital transformation across clean water, wastewater and bio‑resources.

Key responsibilities

Support water sector planning and optimisation projects using operational, planning and asset data.
Translate business challenges into practical technical solutions and digital tools.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to capture project requirements.
Develop scenario modelling, analytics and performance‑improvement work.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams on decision‑support solutions.

Required profile

Understanding of the UK water industry (clean water, wastewater or bio‑resources).
Experience in asset planning, operational optimisation, hydraulic or network modelling, or digital transformation initiatives.
Ability to work with data, analytics and modelling approaches.

Required skills

Python, R or SQL
Excel or other data‑analysis tools
Optimisation or modelling software
Digital‑twin technologies
AI, machine learning or advanced analytics
Water‑industry modelling platforms (e.g., InfoWorks, Flood Modeller, PyWR)
