WCA Doctor – Hybrid (Flexible Clinical Assessor)

About the role

As a WCA Doctor you will use your clinical expertise to assess how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life. Working for Maximus in Leeds, you will handle complex cases involving veterans, neurological conditions, industrial injuries and respiratory diseases, delivering assessments via telephone, video or face‑to‑face.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or in‑person assessments to determine the effect of health conditions on everyday activities.
• Produce detailed Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions.
• Apply clinical knowledge to a range of conditions, including veteran health issues, neurological and respiratory disorders.
• Participate in a structured training programme and receive ongoing mentorship.

Required profile

• Valid GMC registration.
• Minimum one year of post‑registration experience, within or outside the NHS.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using computer software to produce detailed written reports.
