Web Developer – WordPress (Hybrid, £33k)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Web Developer to join a collaborative B2B digital agency that works with ambitious SMEs and recognised global brands. The position is hybrid (three days in the Peterborough office, two days remote) and offers a salary of £33,000.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes, plugins and CMS configuration.
• Translate Figma or Sketch designs into responsive, high‑performance front‑end code.
• Perform cross‑browser and device testing, SEO and accessibility improvements.
• Optimise site performance and conduct quality‑assurance checks.
• Participate in client workshops, present solutions and help shape project requirements.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with WordPress development.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript and PHP.
• Proficiency with Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
