Workforce Capability Specialist – 12‑month Hybrid Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Workforce Capability Specialist on behalf of AWE for a 12‑month hybrid contract based in Burghfield. The role involves delivering capability and governance across sub‑functions, analysing data and supporting business and programme requirements. Candidates must be willing to obtain DV clearance and work onsite three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of capability and governance requirements across assigned sub‑functions and control accounts.
• Analyse, interpret and report management information and governance metrics, identifying trends and driving actions.
• Produce weekly and monthly performance reports for sub‑functions and control accounts.
• Develop, maintain and manage capability plans to support business and programme needs.
• Lead capability management and corporate projects, ensuring clear engagement and delivery.
• Embed site value‑stream thinking through consistent processes and standard ways of working.

Required profile

• Willing and able to undergo DV clearance.
• Proven expertise in capability management and business governance within complex environments.
• Confident stakeholder manager, able to engage and influence senior leadership.
• Strong analytical ability with experience in people data, MI and insight generation.
• Highly organised with the capacity to manage multiple diverse workloads.
• Resilient and composed when handling demanding or conflicting stakeholder agendas.
