Workshop Engineer

About the role

Join a close‑knit, family‑run manufacturer that designs, builds, installs and services laboratory sterilisation and decontamination equipment. As a Workshop Engineer you will receive full on‑the‑job training, work in a supportive team and develop a long‑term career in a stable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, service and refurbish laboratory autoclaves and sterilisation equipment.
• Test, calibrate, assemble, commission and perform quality inspections before dispatch.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering and design team while receiving continuous training.
• Maintain a tidy, safe workshop and adhere to health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Good problem‑solving abilities and a positive attitude.
• Ability to commute to the Sidcup workshop.

Required skills

• Use of hand tools.
• Basic mechanical assembly.
• Testing of equipment.
• Calibration procedures.
• Commissioning of laboratory devices.
