About the role
Joining our friendly and hard‑working family as a Yard Assistant, you’ll help customers choose from a huge range of high‑quality products. The role is customer‑facing, requiring you to be helpful, friendly and to build relationships with regular visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure safe and correct movement of materials around the branch.
- Load and unload customer and company vehicles, and offload supplier deliveries into stock.
- Pick orders and maintain safety standards at all times.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic with great interpersonal skills for face‑to‑face customer communication.
- Friendly, flexible personality and willingness to engage with customers by name.
- Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided).
