Yard Operative – Temp-to-Perm in Marchwood

About the role
We are seeking reliable Yard Operatives to join our busy yard in Marchwood, Southampton on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role involves moving and inspecting vehicles within a secure yard environment while supporting overall yard operations.
Key responsibilities
- Safely drive a variety of vehicles between designated areas in the yard.
- Scan and conduct quick visual inspections of incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Assist colleagues to meet daily yard targets and support other departments during busy periods.
- Perform general outdoor tasks to keep the facility running smoothly.
Required profile
- Valid UK driving licence (no more than six points).
- Confidence and competence behind the wheel of different vehicle types.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong reliability, punctuality and work ethic.
