Year 1 Teacher (Key Stage 1)

About the role

We are partnering with a vibrant, inclusive primary school in North Liverpool to find a motivated Year 1 Teacher. You will take full responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, creating a safe and engaging environment where pupils can thrive academically and socially.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, focusing on Reading, Writing and Maths.
• Manage all aspects of teaching, from lesson planning and delivery to assessment and reporting.
• Implement inclusive and differentiated strategies to meet the diverse needs of every learner.
• Track pupil progress and contribute to the school’s assessment and improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate actively in the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); Early‑Career Teachers are welcome.
• Proven classroom experience in Key Stage 1, with knowledge of progress tracking and assessment.
• Strong commitment to inclusive teaching and community impact.
• Professional, reflective practitioner who works well in a team.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service and eligibility to work in the UK.
