About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Primary Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a child with an EHCP who has social and emotional needs. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, covering standard school hours.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support to a Year 2 student with an EHCP.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the child’s social and emotional development.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and activities.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
- Monitor progress and produce regular reports for parents and professionals.
Required profile
- Experience working with children who have social and emotional needs.
- Patient, understanding, and able to build rapport quickly.
- Positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting children’s learning.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Relevant SEN qualifications or experience are desirable but not essential.
