Year 2 Teacher – Full‑Time Fixed‑Term (Wisbech)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Wisbech from September 2026. The role is full‑time on a fixed‑term basis (two terms) with the potential to become permanent. You will work within a supportive leadership team and help shape the learning experience of young pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
• Motivate pupils to achieve their full potential and maintain high expectations.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess pupil progress and use data to inform future planning.
• Support children’s academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents and colleagues to ensure every child succeeds.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Creative and engaging teaching style with high expectations for all pupils.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Genuine passion for primary education.
