Year 2 Teacher – Full‑time Primary School Position

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a Good OFSTED‑rated primary school in Westminster. The role starts in September 2026 and is full‑time, teaching pupils aged 6‑7 in reading, writing and mathematics within the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects.
• Maintain a calm, structured classroom and manage behaviour effectively.
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community.
• Contribute to collaborative planning and ongoing CPD activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching KS1.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum for reading, writing and mathematics.
• Proven ability to manage behaviour and support pupils with diverse needs.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and resilient attitude.
