About the role
We are seeking an experienced Year 2 (KS1) teacher to join a well‑established primary school in Westminster, London. The role starts in September 2026 and is full‑time within a "Good" OFSTED‑rated, three‑form entry school.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across reading, writing and mathematics in line with the KS1 curriculum.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in core subjects and adapt teaching to meet diverse learner needs.
- Confidently manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Build professional relationships with parents and carers.
- Uphold high expectations for both behaviour and academic achievement.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Year 2 or KS1.
- Solid understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, especially reading, writing and mathematics.
- Proven ability to manage behaviour and support pupils with varying needs.
- Resilient, proactive and able to establish clear expectations.
