Year 5 Teacher (KS2) – September Start in Barnet

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Barnet to recruit a full‑time Year 5 teacher starting in September. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated lessons across all subjects.
• Assess pupil progress, record outcomes and adapt teaching strategies.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and manage the classroom effectively.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and the teaching team to share best practices.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
• Confident in planning, assessment and tracking pupil progress.
• Strong classroom practitioner with excellent behaviour management.
• Proactive, organised and able to work well within a team.
• Not suitable for early‑career teachers (ECTs).
