About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming, high‑achieving primary school in Lewisham to recruit an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher. You will join a supportive, collaborative environment that values staff wellbeing and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for a Year 6 class, delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school and end‑of‑key‑stage assessments.
• Work closely with the parallel class teacher and support staff to ensure excellent outcomes for all pupils.
• Create a positive, stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for pupils.
