1:1 Behaviour Mentor – Year 3 Support (Lewisham)

About the role

A welcoming primary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 3 pupil with ADHD and ASD from September. You will work alongside the class teacher, SENCO and parents to ensure the pupil accesses learning and engages positively throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one academic and behavioural support for the assigned pupil.
• Implement and monitor personalised behaviour strategies.
• Promote emotional regulation and social interaction skills.
• Assist the pupil in developing confidence, independence and classroom participation.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO and families to track progress.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with ADHD, ASD or other additional needs.
• Patient, resilient and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively within a school environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
• Understanding of autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.
